Yesterday Katie and I found Barbie in the Nutcracker in the bargain bin at Sam's. Katie loves, loves ballet. In the past I had checked out ballet performance DVDs from the library. What most people would find boring, her eyes were glued to the screen. Also, one of her favorite things to do is dance around the living room to the music from her Nutcracker CD or other classical music. When Barbie is coupled with ballet, Katie is in hog-heaven so I knew the DVD was going to be a hit.
Katie likes to get dressed up when she watches her Barbie DVDs or her Disney Princess DVDs. Last night was no different for the premier of Barbie in the Nutcracker. I fixed her hair, applied eye make-up and put glitter on her face. Of course she needed pictures of her radiant beauty, so here they go.
Katie and her fake cat. This cat is purrs, licks it paw, meows and does other cat things that kind of freak me out.
What's a princess to do? So little time and so many people to kiss her shoes. (I like this picture but I wasn't paying attention when I was shooting it. The camera auto-focused on the cat's head so Katie is blurry. Duh! to me.)
