Great Moms Walk

Today was my MOPS group's Great Moms Walk in Abilene. We started out at Fort Imagination by the zoo and walked to Nelson Park, which is under one mile.

Here's one big Thank You! to those that sponsored me in the walk. I did not meet my goal of $500 or 4 scholarships, but I did make $160 which is enough to sponsor one mom.

Below are few pictures from today's walk.

Katie before the walk began. She loves her Gilligan hat that Gaga and Pop Pop K got her for Easter.

The line of walkers. Notice who is out in front.

The air castle/jump around that Katie refused to enter. I think there were too many kids in it.

The air slide. Katie was intrigued with it, but after watching for a while so told me, "I'm too small." She also informed me, "You're big Momma, you go." I didn't follow her suggestion.

Katie rode the train several times. After about 1/2 hour the batteries died on the golf cart so the ACU student volunteers proceeded to push the golf cart around and around and around the park so the kids could still enjoy the train. Bless their hearts.

Katie in the train. She leaned forward and held on each time she rode the train.

The cow from Chik-fil-a was there and Katie was fascinated with him. However, she refused to get closer than five feet. At the face painting table, Katie requested that the ACU student volunteer paint a pink cow on the back of her hand. Once it was complete, she ran over to show her cow to the Cow.

Getting a cow painted on her hand.

The pink cow.

These two little girls and one boy were having a picnic lunch and Katie kind of invited herself. LaRae was nice enough to welcome Katie and Leah got a blanket on which Katie sat.

Heading back to the car after a busy day.
